Scott Van Vliet

Scott Van Vliet is a global technology executive and platform leader with over two decades of experience building the infrastructure that powers how enterprises work, communicate, and compete. Scott currently serves as a Corporate Vice President at Microsoft, leading Azure OpenAI and AI Core Infrastructure — the model training and inferencing platform that powers Azure Foundry Models and the AI systems the world's largest enterprises depend on at scale. He previously led engineering and product teams of nearly 1,500 people behind Microsoft Teams and Azure Communication Services, scaling the platform to hundreds of millions of users globally, before driving AI-powered collaborative work management across Microsoft 365.

As a member of Xoriant's Board of Directors, Scott brings strategic depth across all three defining waves of enterprise AI — conversational, collaborative, and agentic — directly strengthening Xoriant's Applied Intelligence vision and its ability to help global enterprises move from experimentation to production-grade outcomes. An engineer at heart, Scott is driven by the conviction that the next frontier of AI is not just about intelligence, but about making that intelligence reliable, scalable, and deeply woven into how businesses operate.

Earlier in his career, Scott served as SVP of Software Engineering at Relativity Space, building the Factory Operating System that brought software precision to the frontier of aerospace manufacturing. Prior to that, he spent five years at Amazon leading Alexa, shaping one of the defining consumer AI platforms of its era, before taking on the roles of VP of Digital Play and Chief Technology Officer at Mattel, where he led the company's digital technology direction.
