Mukund Rao

Xoriant President of Global Markets, Mukund Rao, brings in more than two decades of experience in the BFS and management sectors. At Xoriant, Mukund drives the go-to-market strategy and consults with and advises clients, helping align their needs with Xoriant’s capabilities to ensure joint success.

Prior to Xoriant, Mukund led the Banking Financial Services and Insurance BU as Chief Business Officer at LTIMindtree and Mindtree prior to its merger, scaling and enhancing its positioning with clients and in the market globally. This included strengthening offerings, building partnerships with fintechs and insurtechs, joint solution development with hyperscalers, and working with analysts and advisors.

Mukund was with Cognizant prior to that, where he held leadership positions as part of Cognizant’s largest Banking Financial Services practice. He played an important part in helping shape strategic programs with clients, including platform-based and front-to-back transformation plays. He worked closely with other business units, working on industry convergence opportunities. He was with Mphasis before that, where he led core accounts and was an early member of the consulting team.

Mukund thrives on the frontlines, collaborating with clients, partners, and teams alike. He has an MBA from the University of Texas and has lived in the New York area for 20+ years.
