Girish Gaitonde is the founder and CEO of Xoriant Corporation, (formerly TekEdge Corporation), a California based global IT services company offering IT service continuum, comprising outsourcing, projects and staffing, both temporary and permanent, to clients in financial services and high technology markets, with operations in the United States, Europe and India. Xoriant's clients include Citigroup, Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo Bank, Intel Corporation, Sun Microsystems and Cisco Systems.
Prior to founding TekEdge in 1990, Mr. Gaitonde held marketing, financial and engineering management positions at Arix Corporation, AT&T Corporation and Intel Corporation. Girish has also participated as a seed investor and board member for more than a dozen technology startups. These include an internet security software company Valicert, Inc. (IPO - 2000. Acquired by Tumbleweed -NASDAQ: TMWD - 2003), a specialized VOIP application specific DSP semiconductor chip company VxTel, Inc, (acquired by Intel Corporation in 2001), a semiconductor process software company Radiance Software, Inc. (acquired by Asyst Technologies in 1996) and Insync Software, Inc. a fast growing privately funded company building enterprise class edge applications for semiconductor industry product tracking based on state-of-the-art RFID technology.
Girish holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from The University of Chicago, an MS degree in Computer Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and a BTech degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, where he has been granted a status of a distinguished Alumni Service award. In October 2004, The Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Bombay inaugurated Girish Gaitonde Lecture Hall Complex and specialized laboratories, using a donation from Girish.
Shirish Gosavi
VP - Business Development, High Technology Practice
Shirish has over 19 years of experience in selling IT services and solutions to corporations worldwide. Currently based out of Sunnyvale, CA office, Shirish spearheads Xoriant's Business Development efforts for High Technology Vertical.
Before joining Xoriant in his second innings, Shirish worked as Managing Director with Symphony Services, Vice President of US operations for vMoksha Technologies and Vice President of Business Development looking after Dimension Data Corporation’s Learning Solutions Division. Shirish was also a founding member of Datacraft India, where he was responsible for Western India P&L and grew revenues over 400% in 4 years. At the beginning of his career, Shirish worked with Fujitsu-ICIM in both computer manufacturing and sales divisions.
Shirish specializes in forging long-term partnerships with clients, scaling the sales organization and thereby putting businesses on a growth trajectory.
Shirish holds BS in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from College of Engineering, Pune, India and Business Management in Marketing from The Symbiosis Institute. Shirish is a recipient of seven 100% clubs and 2 President Awards.
Mahesh Nalavade
Chief Financial Officer
Mahesh, a Commerce and Law graduate with Fellowships from ICWAI, ICSI and CIMA (UK) has 27 years industrial experience in areas of Finance, Company Secretaryship and General Management. Starting his career with Siemens India, he moved on to Thermax Ltd. where he spent 20 years in various roles. His last designation at Thermax was General Manager - Finance and Company Secretary. He was the key person spearheading the company's IPO and setting up joint ventures and foreign subsidiaries.
He has also worked in Zambia (2 years) and Indonesia (3 years) with organizations of international repute. He has undergone specialized management training in Japan. Mahesh is a firm believer of the TQM philosophy -creating and adding value for internal as well as external customers.
R. Balachandran
VP - India Operations
Bala has over 24 years of experience in Software industry, extensive experience in offshore delivery management and operations. Currently based out of Mumbai, India Development Center, Bala spearheads Xoriant's solutions efforts in BFSI Vertical.
Before joining Xoriant, Bala worked as Delivery Center Head for Mastek Ltd. He had been with Mastek for a decade. Prior to that he was with General Insurance Corporation, India where he was a key player in the front office automation project of Indian General Insurance Industry. He has started his career in the systems department of the Petrochemical Industry SPIC (Chennai).
Bala has over ten years of experience in developing Insurance Solutions. He has managed very large mission critical bespoke solutions for UK and US customers. Bala is good at spotting the talents and nurturing them.
Bala holds degrees in Mathematics and Instrumentation. He has also done his post graduation in Financial Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management.
